While desperate democrats, worried about the well-deserved shellacking that should be coming their way in the election at the end of this year, are desperately pissing away tax payer dollars to ward off the disastrous consequences of their economic policies, the truth about how horrible the impact on said policies on the economy is can’t be hidden:
Despite adding more than 8 million people to the working-age population since 2007, total employment has declined by half a million, according to an analysis by the Senate Budget Committee.
Before President Barack Obama took office 259.7 million people were part of the working-age population, or between ages 16 and 65. Now, the number has risen to 267.7 million.
However, in the same time period, total employment declined from 146.3 million to 145.7 million. In other words, 531,000 fewer people have jobs.
“This statistic highlights an alarming trend that has embodied the president’s economic policies: more and more people are leaving the workforce entirely,” according to the analysis, which was released by Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.). “There are 58 million working-age people who are not working, and the labor force participation rate stands at 62.8 percent, the lowest level in 36 years.”
And while most leftards would point out s large chunk of those that have left the workforce are now on some form of government assistance, be it unemployment compensation, which usually means they are subsiding on a fraction of what they should be earning in a decent economy, disability – lots of people are scamming the system after their unemployment benefits end, and filing for SS disability to cover the income gap caused by class warfare economics – or the traditional welfare system that has bought democrats such power. Wait until the unconstitutional and soon to come “we get to pick who wins and who loses” regulations by the EPA (where they work real hard and are so righteous), or the fallout from the employer mandate (not to be confused as two employed guys going out on a date) of Obamacare pile on and double down on the economy wrecking. You would have thunk people would learn from the Carter years what happens when democrats do their thing.
At least there is some justice in the universe, as one of Obama’s main voting blocks also is the one feeling the most pain from his idiotic economic-illiterate class warfare policies. A large swat of these poor dolts could benefit from finding out that they have been sold a bunch of lies about college by the class warriors, and a whole lot of other marxist and green loving nonsense that passes for being educated these days. The left is beyond stupid, and they are not even bright enough to realize they are the ones suffering the most while their masters get rich.
