Like Obama, the thing was a disaster pretending to be something good. So the fact that the demcorats were stupid enough to pick it up as some badge of honor to me is laughable. I guess they have finally acknowledged that those of us that call it “Obamacare” instead of the Affordable Care Act – a name that is deceptive beyond belief because this thing isn’t about affordability, good or better care, and the act in the name has more to do with the tragic comedy that this disaster is playing out to be – because it is a giant shit sandwich have it right. The term “Obamacare” has largely disappeared from the mouths of Democrats as the president’s health care reform law has gone from a rallying cry to a political grenade.
President Obama once said he embraced the phrase on the 2012 campaign trail, telling supporters, “I do care.” As recently as Nov. 8, Obama predicted to a laughing crowd in New Orleans that his political opponents would stop using the term once the law became popular.
“I know health care is controversial, so there’s only going to be so much support we get on that on a bipartisan basis — until it’s working really well, and then they’re going to stop calling it Obamacare,” he said. “They’re going to call it something else.”
However, it has seemed to change names with the Democrats instead as the law’s popularity has slumped to new lows in the wake of Obama’s broken promises, rising premiums, insurance cancellations and a disastrous rollout. Obama’s approval rating has also plummeted as a result.
The first thing to notice is that the link to the CBS article about Obama’s approval rating is broken. CBS took down the article because they didn’t want to piss off the WH is my guess. They can provide cover all they want, but the fact is that Obama is finally getting the rating shift he deserves. No amount of propaganda from them and the WH will cover for the fact that this thing is a fucking disaster.
The ACA is properly labeled as Obamacare because it sucks like Obama and his policies do. The left can pretend otherwise and even try hard to try and get people to call it the ACA now that Obama’s name association implies it’s toxicity, but they are going to lose that fight. Just like Munsoned was a bad thing in the movie Kingpin, Obamacare will one day make a similar entry into the urban dictionary as something horrible happening to people, most of them stupid people that thought they were getting free shit but instead got a royal shafting.
The fact of the matter is that once you stop huffing the unicorn farts and have to face the reality of what type of pain the healthcare takeover by the government that Obamacare represents will cause, practically everyone, including most leftards, are gonna turn against it. The people that want free shit are just going to have to wake up to the reality that there is no such thing. Die already Obamacare!
